An extension of my illustration, making characterful puppets and models out of found and recycled materials.

‘The Illustrated Circus’ was made in collaboration with my university friend Clara Dziemianko. This was a miniature high-top circus tent with puppets inside which acted out circus tricks using basic automata. We would tour to festivals and events with our performance installation, where people were invited to play with the characters.

I have since received a few commissions to bring people and events to life in this way. I would be interested to hear if you had an idea, characters, event or performance you would like to explore being created in this way.
